Yin Yoga ….

Anyone Fancy a Long, Slow Stretch?

If you’ve been craving a chance to slow right down, breathe deeply, and give your body time to truly soften, I’m delighted to share something new.

I’ll be starting a monthly Yin Yoga class on Saturday mornings at Wrington Osteopathy Clinic in Redhill. These sessions are designed as a deeply nourishing pause from busy lives and fast-moving exercise — a space where less really is more.

The class will be 75 minutes of long-held postures, stillness, and relaxation, allowing you time to gently unwind, both physically and mentally. Our first session will take place on Saturday 31st January, and classes will run on the last Saturday of each month.

To keep the experience calm and personal, places are limited to just 6 people.

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga where postures are held for longer periods — often several minutes at a time. Rather than working the muscles, Yin targets the deeper connective tissues of the body, such as fascia, ligaments, and joints.

This style of practice encourages stillness, patience, and awareness. Props are often used so that the body can relax fully into each pose without effort.

Benefits of Yin Yoga

  • Improves flexibility and joint mobility

  • Supports healthy connective tissue and fascia

  • Encourages deep relaxation and stress reduction

  • Calms the nervous system

  • Creates space for mental clarity and emotional balance

  • A perfect complement to more active styles of exercise

Yin Yoga is suitable for most people and is especially beneficial if you feel tight, stressed, over-stimulated, or simply in need of rest.
